Unaprjeđenje upravljanja u lokalnim sportskim klubovima kroz metodologiju PM2
Bregana/Hrvatska
Listopad/2023
Pozitivni ishodi i iščekivanje
Tečaj je jasno demonstrirao projektovu predanost unaprjeđenju kvalitete i standarda rada klubova, povećanju otpornosti u svjetlu pandemije COVID-19, i efikasnijem iskorištavanju mogućnosti EU financiranja.
Enhancing Governance in Grassroots Sport
Clubs through PM2 Methodology
Bregana, Croatia
October/2023
In a concerted effort to bolster the operational resilience of grassroots sport clubs, the Resilience Project, backed by the ERASMUS-SPORT-2022-SSCP programme, has recently completed its second training course in Bregana. The two-day event, held on the 27th and 28th of October 2023, was part of a series of training sessions designed to introduce and embed the PM2 methodology within local sport organisations.
Eight delegates from four partner entities participated in the training:
A Deep Dive into PM2
Training Course 2 followed on the successful heels of its predecessor, delving deeper into the Open PM2 Initiative—a central hub for PM2 knowledge and collaboration. Participants were introduced to the resources available, which included extensive documentation and tools to facilitate project management in their respective sports clubs.
The course tackled complex subjects like stakeholder management through the PM2 lens, guiding participants through the ‘Stakeholder Management Maze’. An enlightening segment on ‘The Genesis of PM2’ traced the evolution of the methodology and its growing significance in contemporary project management practices.
Practical Application Takes Centre Stage
True to the project’s practical approach, the second day of the training featured an in-depth case study on the Wifi4EU project, exemplifying PM2’s application in a pan-European context. This was complemented by discussions on the rationale behind choosing PM2 as the preferred project management methodology, culminating in a session that showcased the integration of PM2 within business technology management—a case study that brought the methodology to life for the participants.
Positive Outcomes and Anticipation
The training was met with enthusiastic feedback, with participants eager to implement what they had learned. The course was a clear demonstration of the project’s commitment to enhancing the quality and standards of club work, increasing resilience in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and leveraging EU funding opportunities more effectively.
Looking forward, the Resilience Project anticipates that the insights gained from these training sessions will be instrumental in improving the governance of grassroots sport clubs. The positive reception of the training bodes well for the continued success of the project.
A Step Towards Resilient Future
As we reflect on the success of Training Course 2, we are reminded of the importance of continual learning and development in the face of challenges. The Resilience Project remains steadfast in its mission to empower sport clubs through structured and effective project management, ensuring that they are well-equipped to manage both present and future crises.
Stay tuned for more updates as we progress through this transformative journey with PM2 and grassroots sport clubs across Europe.
